Croatian Sea & Mountain Adventure

We would like to announce that Croatian Rotary Clubs - District 1913 is organizing Summer camp in Summer of 2013. The Camp starts in Zagreb on Saturday, July 13th 2013 and will last until Saturday July 27th 2013. Participants are supposed to leave Zagreb on the 27th July 2013

When does the Summer camp start and finish?
All participants should arrive in Zagreb on the 13th of July. The plane ticket should have Zagreb as the final destination, also participants fly home from Zagreb on the 27th of July.
The organizer does not cover the price of both arrival and departure flights for the participants. The last day of our camp is Saturday, July 27th 2013. The return flight is proposed for July 27th from Zagreb.
About the Programme
Camp starts in Zagreb, capital of Croatia. During their stay in Zagreb participants will have organized city-sightseeing, as well as visit to the castles in the surroundings of Zagreb and to the Museum of Neanderthals. After three nights in Zagreb the trip continues to one of the most beautiful National Parks in Croatia “Plitvice lakes” (UNESCO World Heritage).
From National park “Plitvice lakes” participants will travel to Zadar. City of Zadar is historical center of Dalmatia, surrounded by many islands. From Zadar a trip to National park “Kornati Islands” will be organized.
After Zadar participants will travel to Split. Split is central city in southern Croatia, an incredible combination of history, Mediterranean and modern way of life, with lots of interesting things to see within it and in its surroundings.
Dubrovnik is one of the most beautiful cities in the Mediterranean Sea. During their stay in Dubrovnik participants will have the opportunity for sightseeing in this old city (UNESCO World Heritage) and getting information about its glory throughout history . Excursions to the neighboring city of Cavtat, swimming and other activities will be organized.
From Dubrovnik participants will travel to Šibenik, historic city literally surrounded by national parks, visit to National Park “Waterfalls of Krka” is planned.
After Šibenik participants will return to Zagreb. Departure from Zagreb is on Saturday, July 27th.
Meetings with the members of local Rotary clubs will be organized in every major city, in the cities along the coast, swimming and visits to the beaches will be organized when and wherever possible. For the visits to the national parks participants should bring and wear comfortable shoes and clothes.
Participation fee
Participation fee is 150 € . In order to avoid cancelation, down pre-payment in the total of 50 € should be paid not later than 15 days upon acceptance of the participant confirmed by the Organizer. Participants are, in order to avoid extra bank costs, welcome to make the fully payment upon acceptance.
Participation must be paid until 15th of June 2013.
Visas
Citizens of most of the countries do not need a visa for Croatia. If the visa is needed contact Croatian Embassy in the country of residence or camp@rotary.hr
Age and number of the participants
15 boys and girls from different countries aged from 18 to 22 years.
Other important information
During their stay in Croatia participants will be accompanied by a member from one of the Croatian Rotaract Clubs. In Zagreb, Zadar , Split, Dubrovnik and Šibenik they will meet members of the local Rotary clubs.
All the meals and lodging, entrance tickets and bus travel costs are provided by the Croatian Youth Exchange Programme.

Completed Application Form must be sent until 20th of May 2013.
Every participant must be insured – we will send you more information on insurance upon acceptance.
Besides the basic already mentioned above the registered participants will get information about accessories they will need for this camp. Croatian Youth Exchange Team is looking forward to meet the participants and wish them pleasant stay in Croatia.
